Skylerann Gorgonio-Wong is currently pursuing her MA in Sociology at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She obtained her BA double majoring in Sociology and Women's and Ethnic Studies with a minor in Counseling and Human Services at UCCS. She was also an accelerated master's student. Her current research interests include the intersections of race, ethnicity and nationality, Indigenous studies, Native Hawaiian sovereignty, and topics such as blood quantum. She is currently working with the Matrix Center as an EDI Ambassador, and has worked in EDI through the of Office of EDI at UCCS, serving on the Student Diversity Assembly and on the Diversity and Global Consciousness committee for the Division of Student Success. Her work with the Matrix center includes branding and marketing for the newsletter and event flyers, as well as producing virtual events.
